Why become a member of MICA? Back

Although MICA is a new association, its members are active in achieving their objectives through a variety of activities, including policy development in mental health, participation in committees with the Local Integrated Health Networks in Ontario, active liaison with the Ottawa Family Advocacy Centre and the provision of workshops for the Ottawa Branches of the Schizophrenia Society and the National Alliance on Mental Illness.  MICA is also represented at the Family Caregivers Advisory Committee of the Mental Health Commission of Canada and on the Board of Directors of the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre.

Becoming a member of MICA will give you an opportunity to have a stronger voice and be supported by family members who have had experience navigating the mental health system.

Membership is free.  Simply email your name and telephone number to info@ MICA.ca.
