MICA AND THE ART COLLECTIVE ARE PLEASED TO PRESENT THE ART MARKET - COMING DECEMBER 1, 2020

NO ONE WALKS ALONE, WE WALK WITH YOU

CHRISTMAS ART MARKET

CALLING ALL ARTISTS AND ARTISANS!

Last year, in collaboration with artists in our community, MICA collaborated with In the Wind Art Collective and the Creative Café to host an art market that brought together artists who share a passion for the arts with artists in our community who also live with mental illness. Everyone enjoyed the evening of art, music and poetry so much we decided to host a second Art Market this December. However, because of the restrictions imposed in response to COVID-19, this year’s Art Market will be a virtual event.

Our intent is to provide a venue for artists and artisans to share their creativity with others while supporting our efforts to bring caregivers and their loved ones living with mental illness together with others from their community wanting to take a moment to enjoy themselves.

We learned so much from our first Art Market held last December and our "Virtual Art in the Park" event we hosted this summer. We have made many improvements to how we showcase your artwork and crafts. We are also working hard at developing more strategies to promote the event to the public.

You are invited to join us and participate in our Christmas Art Market by completing the registration form and template submitting up to 10 images by November 29. Please follow the guidelines in the registration form and attached . You will have an opportunity to view the site at the end of November and to share the website address on your social networks and with your friends and families for the December 1 opening date.

We are offering this opportunity to you to promote your art and crafts at no cost, and as you know from participating in our events in the past, we do not charge a commission on any sales. However, we would gladly accept a small donation in support of our efforts focused on implementing caregiver-driven solutions that have a lasting and positive impact on the quality of life of caregivers and those they care for living with mental illness. On behalf of the Mental Illness Caregivers Association, we thank you for your support. Be well and stay safe.

Sincerely,

Paul McIntyre
