NO ONE WALKS ALONE, WE WALK WITH YOU
This year the Mental Illness Caregivers Association (MICA) is celebrating the 20th anniversary of Art in Strathcona Park. We had originally planned to host the event in early August, as we have in previous years, but the COVID-19 pandemic threw a wrench into our plans. Although disappointed we decided to host a virtual event as our way of saying thank you to the volunteers, artisans and sponsors who have contributed so much to our success over the years.
Join us as we present a virtual showcase featuring arts and crafts on sale and exhibited by talented artists and artisans. We invite you to contact the artist or artisan directly if you wish to purchase one of their offerings and to visit their website, Facebook or Instagram pages to view more of their works by clicking on the world icon. Some artists/artisans have provided an e-mail address for you to contact them by clicking on the envelope icon.
How to view the Artwork: The showcase presents a carousel of up to 10 images for each artist/artisan. The carousel is initially static, however, once you advance to the next slide it cycles through the images. If you want to stop on a particular image, hover your mouse over the image and the carousel will pause until you remove it. You can advance or backup by clicking anywhere on the right (advance) or left (backup) side of the image. Each click moves the carousel one slide. To resume automatic operation just remove your mouse from the image. We recommend that you only have one row open (in addition to Row 1 which is always open) because the inconsistency in dimensions of images causes the window frame to adjust as images scroll through the carousels and this can cause "jumpiness". Enjoy!
